Pleasant Grove Hawks soar past Atlanta Rabbits 48-17 on homecoming

TEXARKANA — Ben Harmon threw for four touchdowns to help the Pleasant Grove Hawks fly by the Atlanta Rabbits 48-17 Friday night at Hawk Stadium. The sophomore quarterback completed 8-of-13 for 156 yards and an interception as the Hawks (8-0, 2-0) earned their first win against the Rabbs (3-4, 0-2) in seven years.

 

Pleasant Grove amassed 317 rushing yards on 44 attempts as part of a 473-yard total offense effort. Senior running back T.J. Cole had a game-high 10 carries for the Hawks, gaining 66 yards and a touchdown in the process. Cole was also the team’s leading receiver as he hauled in four passes for 85 yards and two touchdowns. The Hawks were efficient on offense as they went 7-of-12 on third downs with a 5-of-6 rate in the second half. Pleasant Grove punted only three times and turned the ball over twice with the aforementioned interception and a lost fumble.
