TJ Cole scores four TDs in Pleasant Grove Hawks’ 55-14 drubbing of Melissa Cardinals

PARIS — Running back T.J. Cole rushed for four touchdowns as the Pleasant Grove Hawks ran the Melissa Cardinals out of Wildcat Stadium 55-14 Friday night in the UIL 4A Division 2 quarterfinal. Cole finished with 134 yards on 18 carries. Teammate Chauncey Martin also crossed the century mark with 102 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries. Bruce Garrett rushed nine times for 68 yards, and Josh Roberts managed to score a touchdown. Sophomore quarterback Ben Harmon threw for 128 yards and a touchdown to Cox as part of his six completions on eight attempts. Xavier Benson caught two passes for 26 yards as Cox hauled in three passes for 70 yards. The Hawks gained 370 yards rushing as part of 498 yards of total offense. Pleasant Grove never punted, and converted on 3-of-4 third downs.
