LONGVIEW, Texas—Battling through multiple stoppages due to weather, Pleasant Grove's girls soccer team continued to push deeper into the playoffs Friday.

The Lady Hawks shut out Terrell, 2-0, in the Region II-4A semifinal round at Lobo Stadium and will face Kilgore today at 11 a.m. for a spot in next week's state tournament.

Freshman Delia Tuttlebee netted both of the goals for Pleasant Grove, giving her a freshman school-record 23 on the season. The previous record for a freshman was 22 by Chelsea Cole in 2012.

The winner of the PG-Kilgore match advances to the 4A state tournament in Georgetown. The semifinals are set for Wednesday.
