PITTSBURG, Texas—Pleasant Grove hit the ball but was unable to stop Pittsburg during a 19-11 loss to the host Lady Pirates in a District 15-4A game Friday.

Pitt went up 7-0 through two innings and led 13-4 through three complete.

Natalie Nickolson was 3 for 3 with 3 RBI for the Lady Hawks, and Lexi Snyder was 3 for 3—all doubles—with an RBI. Kristin Key belted a pair of doubles while going 3 for 4 with 3 RBI, Kaylee Kelley was 3 for 5, and Bre JHones was 2 for 4 with a double and RBI.

PG is off Tuesday and scheduled to host Paris next Friday. Paris forfeited its game to Liberty-Eylau for not having the required number of eligible players.
