WHITE OAK, Texas — Pleasant Grove got off to a perfect start at the White Oak softball tournament with two victories on Thursday.

Presley Humphrey crushed a 2-run homer for the Lady Hawks, and Pleasant Grove edged Ore City, 7-6.

Lexi Snyder earned the win in the circle, and had an RBI double. Haylie Teague had a hit and 2 RBI and Presley Hargrove had a pair of hits, scored two runs and drove in a run for the Hawks.

Snyder gave up just four hits as she led Pleasant Grove to a 8-3 win over Westwood in the second game of the day.

Hargrove smacked a double, a single, and drove in a team-high three runs for the Hawks. Humphrey scored two runs and slapped a 2-run single, while teammate Natalie Nickolson walloped two hits with 2 RBI.

Pleasant Grove is back in action today in the White Oak tournament.
