The Pleasant Grove Hawks have a good foundation to build on when they face Chapel Hill at 5:30 p.m. tonight in Mount Pleasant.

The Hawks varsity won their first district game (3-1) Friday at New Diana. The defense was sharp.

"The defense played great and allowed only one shot on goal," Hawks Coach Kevin Reaves said.

The New Diana goal was the result of a penalty kick awarded to them for a foul within the goal area.

The Hawks showed diversity in their scoring with a senior (Brandon Away), a junior (Kaiden Williams) and freshman (Hayes Lawrence) all putting in goals for the Hawks.
