SULPHUR SPRINGS, Texas—Pleasant Grove's varsity tennis team defeated Sulphur Springs, 12-8. Winners for the Hawks in boys' singles included Wes Humphrey, Palmer Duke and Lance Taylor. Shannon Lee, Caroline Joyce, Gracia Higgins, Jisu Choi, Allie Ryan, and Tiffany Hoang were winners for the Lady Hawks in singles competition. Boys' doubles winners for the Hawks were Adam Bone/Ross Wyles. Joyce/Higgins and Lee/Choi won their girls' doubles match for Pleasant Grove.

Winners for the Hawks in boys' singles included Clark Giles, George Douglas, Palmer Duke and Lance Taylor. Shannon Lee, Caroline Joyce, Gracia Higgins, Jisu Choi, Allie Ryan, Tiffany Hoang, and Amy Lam were winners for the Lady Hawks in singles competition. Boys' doubles winners for the Hawks were Giles/Palmer. Joyce/Higgins, Lee/Choi, and Ryan/Houng each won their girls' doubles match for Pleasant Grove.
