CANTON, Texas—Braxton Watkins shot a 72 to lead Pleasant Grove's boys varsity golf team to a first place finish at the Canton High School Invitational at Van Zandt Country Club on Monday.

Watkins placed first as a medalist for the Hawks.

Ben LaGrand and Trevor Edmondson each carded a 76, Jackson Giles shot a 79, and Daniel Nichols had an 89 for a total of 303.

Bullard was second (307), and Carthage took third (326).
