Lady Hawks nab 4 all-district superlatives

Pleasant Grove earned four superlatives on the Class 15-4A, Division II all-district team.

The Lady Hawks' Shanequa Henry earned Co-MVP with Liberty-Eylau's Eliyah Howard. Asia Lloyd was chosen Offensive Player of the Year for Pleasant Grove.

Maiya Ware was selected Defensive Player of the Year for the Hawks, and Pleasant Grove's Marsha Cowling and staff were named Coach of the Year.

Janiya Sanders, who plays for the Lady Leopards, was honored with Newcomer of the Year.

First teamers for the Hawks were Keshawn Davis, Ashanti Levingston and Bri Block. Earning first-team honors for Liberty-Eylau were Daycoria Meadows and Kayla Crabtree.

Rounding out the first team from Pittsburg were Natalie Styles and Tyler Green, North Lamar's Mylee Nottingham and Maddie Walters along with Quiniya Savage and TK Moore from Paris.

Honorees from the second team representing Pleasant Grove were Phoebe Robertson and Taylor Whitaker. Myah Hurd and Breanna Webster, both from Liberty-Eylau, were each selected to the second team.
