PARIS, Texas — Senior T’Vondrick Henry scored 15 first half points, and the Pleasant Grove Hawks soared past the North Lamar Panthers 54-41 Tuesday evening at North Lamar High School.

“Tough place to play, so, anytime you win at North Lamar, it’s pretty special,” Hawks coach Dwight McCowen said after the win that improves Pleasant Grove to 14-5 (7-0 in district). “I thought our guys closed it out down the stretch by playing a balanced game.”

The Hawks led the Panthers 34-22 at halftime with senior Tre Stuart, senior Brett Carmony, and Henry each hitting a 3-pointer in the first half.

Pleasant Grove returns to Texarkana to host the Gilmer Buckeyes. The Pleasant Grove Lady Hawks will go on the road to take on Gilmer in their district game.
