TEXARKANA, Texas — Pleasant Grove came back from a 10-point deficit to defeat Gilmer, 75-64, in a boys varsity basketball game on Senior Night at Hawk Gym on Friday.

"The fourth quarter comeback was all them," Hawks head coach Dwight McCowan said. "It had nothing to do with our coaching staff. I told them to make up their minds, and they did.

"We didn't play smart basketball for three quarters. When we play teams twice, they get to know our tendencies. We had to grind it out and that's what we did."

The Hawks (15-5, 8-0) went into the fourth quarter down 58-48. McCowan played all seniors in the fourth period. The seniors account for all 27 of the fourth-quarter points as Pleasant Grove outscored the Buckeyes, 27-6.

T'Vondrick Henry had six points, Tre Stuart hit a shot from downtown, Sam Bradshaw scored 10, Matt Angier added four and Torey Phillips had four for the Hawks in the fourth.
