PITTSBURG, Texas — Pleasant Grove's varsity girls and boys each finished first as a team at the first annual Troy Segura Cross Country Meet on Saturday.
Emma Henard earned gold for the Lady Hawks, while teammate Lydia Colvin was fourth. Jazmin Hever placed sixth and Kendall Johnson was ninth.
Brooks Beck got the silver in the varsity boys contest, while teammate Elmo Mejia was fourth, Dai'Mond Harvey fifth, Mark Bultemeir sixth, Lucas Edwards eighth and Campbell Jackson was 10th for the Hawks.
Landon Beck's second-place performance and Nathan Hutcheson's third-place finish helped lead the junior varsity Hawks to victory. Cieran Power (5th), William Otero (6th), Chance Tutulo (7th), Trent Walker (8th) and Justin Poe (9th) also contributed to the win.
Georgia Colvin (10th) was the middle school girls medalist for Pleasant Grove, while Jackson Bryne (5th) was the middle school medalist for the Hawks.
