LAST WEEK: The Hawks (9-4) fell to Caddo Mills (12-0) in the final seconds, 35-31, in a Class 4A, Div. II regional semifinal playoff game at Royce City ISD Stadium.

OFFENSIVE STANDOUTS: WB Logan Johnson had 146 rushing yards on 12 carries and a pair of touchdowns, while Nick Martin totaled 103 yards on 17 totes and a TD. WB Jaylen Boardley had 45 yards on just 10 carries. QB Jalen Woodside threw for 73 yards on 3-of-8 passing with a score and a pair of interceptions. WR Sam Bradshaw had a 52-yard touchdown reception.

DEFENSIVE STANDOUTS: Reece Elrod and Ahmajay Carter each had an interception.

COACH JOSH GIBSON'S COMMENTS: "I'm proud of our program and the journey we had this year. There were many things for us to be proud of. We had more adversity this season with injuries, and the kids never used it as a an excuse. We kept grinding and growing and finding ways to be successful."
