Braden Hlavinka pitched a complete game 1-hit shut out, stirking out 9 and walking 1 and the Pleasant Grove Hawks beat the Mount Pleasant Tigers 3-0 in day two of the Springhill Tournament in Longview, Tx., Friday.

 

Pleasant Grove improved to 2-1 in the tournament and and 7-2 in the season with the win. PG will play Marshall in their final game at the Springhill Tournament Saturday at 4 p.m.

The Pleasant Grove Hawks played flawlessly in the win over Mount Pleasant

The Hawks played flawlessly. Spectacular plays were made in the field. Jackson Cobb homered and so did Marshall Cox. Both Cobb and Marshall already have two home runs this year.

“It all started with Braden (Hlavinka),” Riley Fincher, Pleasant Grove head baseball coach said. If we get a pitching performance like that, we will do what ever we can to scratch across a couple of runs.
