Keaton Russo and Ben Harmon were swinging for the fence Tuesday when Pleasant Grove hammered New Boston, 17-1.
Russo homered and singled, while Harmon blasted a grand slam and double. Seth Hopkins contributed a double and single as the Hawks banged out 14 hits in four innings. The game was called after the top half of the fifth via the 10-run rule.
Both teams used three pitchers. Marshal Oubre was the winner, pitching the third in relief of starter Nick Voyles. Tucker Anderson pitched the fifth. Tyler Stain was the starter and loser for the Lions.
