Hawks run-rule North Lamar, 10-0

Pleasant Grove paraded 12 batters to the plate in the first inning, and the Hawks scored seven runs on their way to a 10-0 win over North Lamar.

The game was called after five innings because of the 10-run rule. The Hawks stand alone in first place with a 3-0 record in District 15-4A. PG is 12-4 overall, and will be back in action Friday at Liberty-Eylau.

Andrew LeGrand had two 2-run singles to lead the Hawks at the plate. Ryan Galvan had a double, while Jackson Cobb, Seth Hopkins, Marshall Cox and Parker Twisdale contributed run-scoring singles.

North Lamar pitchers walked six and hit four PG batters, while the Hawks’ Nick Voyles yielded two hits and struck out five in 3.2 innings. Marshall Oubre got the final four outs, striking out two.
